Week off... and exciting developments!

Apologies for my amazing vanishing act, I have been taking it easy this week after a bit of a mad weekend in London with the fabulous Miss H (old school friend).  A weekend involving scouring the internet to find a suitable location for our night out... almost an hour of which was spent attempting to solve a crossword to get the location of The Fourth Wall- a wandering vintage bar... only to realise that it was fully booked!!  We ended up spending much of the night in Soho, skipping from a delightful little Italian restaurant- the wine was served in the smallest glasses I have ever seen- to a real sophisticated bar where I insisted on drinking tankards of Guinness!  Shopping in Spitalfields, more coffees than I can remember and cooked breakfasts all thrown in to the weekend for good measure too... a fantastic break, lovely food and the opportunity to catch up with my closest friend- what could be better!

So anyway, aside from the London interlude this week has been a lazy one for Lesley's Girls (well- if you don't count running after the kids busy!!), so we are having a week break on "Free Love Friday"... but it'll be back next Friday showcasing more unique Etsy sellers.

Despite this quiet we have lots in the pipeline at the moment- new stock coming next week (if our photographer/husband is free for photo's this weekend!), we are also looking at getting an occasional stall in the New Year so watch this space for news on this... finally we have exciting news about the second string to shopping with us- Lesley's Girls Upcycled!  This will be launched in the New Year with upcycled vintage goodies- the necklace shown is just one of the upcycled necklaces we will be adding.  Susannah has been working on lots of bits and pieces to stock the new shop using a variety of original vintage fabrics.  I have also been working on some other interesting items for our new upcycled shop using the oven, a a variety of bowls and some very special and unique raw vintage materials... will reveal all nearer Christmas about this mystery new stock item!  And together we will be looking at some interesting creations we can make with our HUGE stock of vintage buttons.  So stay tuned on our blog and Facebook page for news!!
