A Wonderhill Day

I spent a much needed day in London with my closest friend on Saturday, much wine consumed, cakes and shopping!  Mel found a pop-up vintage and handmade fair-Wonder-Hill Market, small but perfectly formed and I wanted to share it with you.  It takes place on the last Saturday of the month is is well worth a look if you are in the area.

Tucked away between Borough Market and London Bridge is The Miller Pub, a building which snakes around on itself so you'd go in one side passing through stalls and due to the Aladdin's cave of goodies on display you would go full circle without even realising you had already walked past this part (it was only the presence of the bar that made be realise!!)  The fantastic selection of vintage clothes, teapots, bags, jewellery and more was enhance by an equally sumptuous selection of handmade items ranging from candles, to knitwear to cakes.... I can personally vouch for the Amaretto cupcake I demolished over a glass of wine!  The stall holders were friendly and helpful, and you could sense the enthusiasm for their work if you discussed it with them.  Wonder-Hill arranged a fabulous market and got the right mix of stalls to ensure an eclectic and stylish shopping experience.

If you love vintage and unique handmade items you will love the Wonder Hill Market, especially if like me you enjoy the odd glass of wine and can combine the two!!!  Once we have the time  Lesley's Girls will certainly be consider applying for a stall at this little gem of a fair.
