Shhh! It's a secret!

This August Bank Holiday (27th August) our home town Colchester is going to be host to the Secret Vintage Fair, we were offered the chance to hold a stall there, and although I would have loved to, we made the decision that this year our focus was building up the online side of the business, our stock and our experience... having said that we will certainly be there having a good old nose about and Lucy from Lullabelle, who is hosting the event, has agreed we can blog the event, so look out for that next month.

The event includes a divine selection of the finest purveyors of vintage the region has to offer, as well as refreshments and a vintage makeover stall (I'm totally there) all for the cost of £1 entry.

The twist on this event is that the location is kept secret until 72 hours before the fair- much in the same way as the Fourth Wall, London's Wandering Bar.  On one of my weekends away to London with Mel we had to solve crossword puzzles to find the bar- luckily this is not the case with this fair as we struggled!  I love the intrigue it creates by being secret- let's be honest who doesn't love a mystery?  You must either add yourself to their mailing list, follow them on Twitter or follow them on Facebook to know the location.

And it's competition time.  The Secret Fair are offering  are host of prizes including:

• Framed vintage print from Lullabelles Treasure
• VIP makeover from Bombshell Boutique Makeovers
• Vintage Inspired Hairband from Be Bop a Hairbands
• 1960s vintage Apron from our good selves 

All you have to do is share their Facebook page or event on your timeline and then post a message on their page saying "I've shared the Secret Vintage Fair because...(your reason)", all entries go into a hat. 

We're looking forward to the fair and I already have an appointment booked with Bombshell Boutique Makeovers... best make the most of it as next time I won't have that luxury, as we hope if they repeat the event next year we'll be running a stall.
