Falling for Autumn

It is the death throes of summer.  The weather has suddenly changed, there is a nip in the air, the children are back to school, the leaves are just starting to turn, and you just know that our funny old British summer is taking it's final breathes before the autumn comes.

This time of year should be saddening with summer holidays already fading to a blur, however I am always excited- possibly because my birthday falls in the autumn, but also because it reminds me of new shoes, clean school bags, sharp pencils in a shiny new tin and the excitement of a fresh start in a fresh school year.  That feeling has stayed with me even after my school days have long since left me.  And this year it is with me even more  so, because after the exciting summer in the UK with the jubilee and the Olympics the country is still on a natural high, and for us personally here at Lesley's Girls we will be celebrating our first anniversary  of the shop opening on 1 October.  Plans are afoot for the celebration- the next blog post will share these including our first Lesley's Girls giveaway with lots of chances to win.

So in the dying days of summer I like to look forward to everything we love about the colder season and all the things that are to come, including the change in wardrobe.   So click to enjoy some of our fabulous outerwear, jumpers, fall dresses and accessories in stock now.  If you quote FALLBLOG you can get a 10% discount on any purchase.  This autumn also sees our first two stalls this year, more details can be found by clicking the images below.

We would love to hear what you are looking forward to this autumn too so please feel free to share in the comments below.

  1. Your title is positively charming! I feel for autumn as a wee little girl and have carried on our love affair ever since. Though it can be hard to part ways with summer in some respects, ultimately I couldn't be happier about the fact that the most gorgeous (IMO) and appealing of seasons is upon us once more.
