Hollywood Costume

Facebook followers will know I recently headed to London on behalf of the on-line vintage magazine V&Oak to attend the preview of the Hollywood Costume exhibition at the V&A.  The write up of my visit is now on the site so if you love all thing vintage, fashion, costume or Hollywood it is definitely worth a read here.  The things which stood out at this exhibition  for me were the incredible sense of the personalities of the characters portrayed in the film, the sheer volume of memorable costumes from films there really are and how fabulous the V&A really is- I haven't been for about ten years and I had forgotten how much i love the place and the atmosphere.

I really enjoyed writing this article for VandOak and have a couple of articles which I am in the process of putting together to submit for contribution.  If you aren't regular readers of this specialist magazine go take a peek... its certainly one of my regular stops on-line, which  is "devoted exclusively to Vintage & One of A Kind style. Fashion, homeware, and lifestyle based on the unique, the handmade, customised, and rediscovered. We’re not about recreating looks from certain decades. We’re about mixing it up for timeless, individual style."  If you like vintage or the unique the odds are on you enjoying this site.

  1. A trip to the V&A is one of my dream destinations/activities should I ever have the good fortune of being in the part of the world. I always go weak in the knees in when I see their superb, excellently curated exhibits, and am off to read your article right this minute.
