Regular readers will know that as well as selling vintage and blogging vintage with Lesley's Girls, I also am part of The Secret Vintage Fair team- next to be held on Saturday 30th March 2013. The location was revealed a week ago and somehow this astounding piece of news missed out on being featured on Lesley's Girls blog, so here goes the big reveal (for those of you who have missed it- which is more likely my readers in foreign parts).... Saturday's Secret Vintage Fair in Colchester is being held in Colchester Castle whilst it is empty before refurbishment.
We were thrilled to have got such an atmospheric location, and as a Colchester girl born and bred this has been one of the most exciting things to have achieved in my home town. With just four days to go until the big event I'm going from excited to scared and back again! I have been working on the fashion show recently- it's been a steep learning cure as I have never arranged one before, but its been great fun and it's fantastic to see so many volunteers coming forward to get involved in this as it is helping raise funds for Headway Essex.
Lesley's Girls are of course having a stand there, sharing all our new stock with some of our new display pieces as well. We are also arranging a special competition- every purchase from the Lesley's Girls stand gets customers free entry into our very own give-away. You can win a copy of the book "Shopping for Vintage" as well as a £10 Lesley's Girls gift voucher. The competition runs at both the Secret Vintage Fair on Saturday and at The Minories Springtime Art & Design fair on 13th April, winners drawn on Sunday 14th April.
