After yesterday's new blog programme was announced we bring the first of our regular "local" postings. If you know Colchester or indeed live here, we show familiar sights from our eyes or perhpas a local news story or event.
To start the series off what would be more fitting than Trinity Square, where the beautiful heritage church we are based in is situated.
The view into the graveyard of Holy Trinity church
The old Cups Hotel is now a shop but is still adorned by this iconic sign
Across the street is the now vacant Tymperleys, which was the home of Sir William Gilberd (who now lies in the Holy Trinity churchyard), the whole of Trinity Street is lined with beautiful shop fronts and houses.
Even the less than stunning 1970s architecture library can look attractive when framed by the trees in in the churchyard which is the heart of Trinity Square.
If you are local come and take a closer look at the square and the surrounding streets, I always spot something different, or something I had missed previously, in my walks around the square.
Next post is our first vintage street style post- this coming Sunday.
