Review: Lucky Sew and Sew Lingerie set

This summer I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful Lucky Sew & Sew two piece lingerie set... we stock them in the shop and have been lusting over them so to own a set was essential!

The set I requested was made from a black vintage fabric, with sheer mesh on the back panel of the knickers. They were made to measure for me, although they come in standard sizes in store and on their Etsy store.    And the absolute best thing about the underwear is the fact it creates a beautiful line under vintage clothing which I think this dress below demonstrates perfectly.
The underwear is made from original vintage designs and as such it fits perfectly under those dresses made in the era for that shape.  I adore the high waist panties which sit perfectly at the belt line of the dress, and the line of the leg doesn't cut your bum cheeks in half either so no unsightly lines on the clinging parts of the dress.
I adore the bra-let appearance, it's comfortable and has a slightly bulleted or conical appearance without going to the full scale lengths which What Katie Did bullet bra's do; so it gives a more subtle line which sits better under 1930s and 40s dresses (the bullet bra shape not being so extreme until the 1950s). This underwear ticks all the boxes- comfortable, well made, pretty (and a bit sexy!) and supports a local artisan, we're proud to be a Lucky Sew and Sew stockist. So if you like their style then either pop into Lesley's Girls at GO4 Market Cafe and look at some of their lines we have on offer, or if you are not local visit their Etsy store.
