How to dress like a 1950s Spring Queen!

We have a blast at Lesley's Girls picking new stock, we adore our lines and usually own at least 3 or 4 of the dresses form our curent collection.   This season we have been thinking about how much Spring is well fitted with the 1950s look, so here are our 3 top wardrobe tips to achieve a 1950s spring look!

1- Pastels
Love or hate pastel they scream spring, go for a cute baby blue or powder pink and kick of the darker days of winter (especially as the clocks have gone forward now!)

2-Petticoats
Okay so I am serial petticoat wearer but petticoats in Spring as perfect as you can kick off the longer coats and boots and really show off those flounces on your skirt!  Plus for those cooler days of spring it gives you a bit of extra warmth!!!

3- Flowers

Well what else?! Flower prints on your dress, flowers in your hair, carry a bunch of flowers give flowers!  Spring needs to be celebrated with the return of beautiful flowers to our gardens by returing them to our wardrobes!

With this in mind we have restocked our online shop with some beautiful springy numbers!  Here are two of our favourites at the moment... check in store for more here
