Love: The book
Hate: The adaptations to the film story-line (missing out the fact Holly Golightly is actually in her late teens, smokes Marijuana, is bisexual, the fact it is not set in the 1940s, the ending and much more!)
Love: The 1960s style and glamour, and the filming.
Hate: That we are supposed to feel sympathy with this character who basically spends her life being adored and partying, having said that I do appreciate this is a facade for the issues in her life and that is the whole point of the film- the book works much better to create the sympathy though
Hate: That I spend time wishing I looked like Audrey Hepburn and the iconic Audrey look has become so desired and thus mimicked that people forget to create their own look and style, even if it celebrating another era.
Hate: I wasted an afternoon watching a film I'm still not sure I actually like!!
